A flower on a side walk

Full bloom

Lingering on what’s coming

Stem took away a song of hope

Three steps away

Across the street where you belong

The soil full of seeds and possibilities

Three steps away

Where I saw what I painted in my dream

Yet I stood still with all that I carried and cultivated

Alone but strongly

I knew enough to want more

Yet not enough to die and to be reborn
